The Vow by Kim CarpenterJust 10 weeks into their marriage, the couple survived a terrible car wreck that left Krickitt in a coma with severe head trauma. Upon waking, Krickitt experienced amnesia and was essentially married to a stranger, forgetting the last 18 months of her life. I think the audience realizes we are a people of faith. The real world consists of the 82 percent of Americans who believe in god who want faith and values in their films. But it is hardly family friendly fare.
Real-life couple from 'The Vow' says it 'would have been nice' to see Christian references in film
Thank you! Never underestimate what a star-studded Hollywood movie can do for a poorly written book. Unfortunately, the actual narrative leaves much to be desired. Carpenter's book opens with the author reminiscing about how he met his wife Krickitt over the telephone. After a brief Christian courtship, the two decided to marry. Carpenter eventually won back his wife by helping her through a long rehabilitation process, but Krickitt never recovered any of her memories of their courtship and marriage.
